|Einar C. Petersen|
Painter and muralist, Einar C. Petersen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 17, 1885. Petersen served an apprenticeship in his native city and, on a scholarship from the Danish Government, studied art for several years in Paris, Rome, and Munich while working as a decorator. He immigrated to America in 1912 and worked in Nebraska, Oregon, and Washington before settling in Los Angeles in 1916. He died there on December 6, 1986.
